CRW architecture + design group and The Urban Studio Join Forces

CRW architecture + design group, Inc. is excited to announce that The Urban Studio, Rochester, MN merged with CRW as of April 2, 2018.
Teresa McCormack, founder of The Urban Studio, has become a partner in CRW, where she has been joined by the rest of her staff.

“We are delighted to be adding the talent behind the successful Urban Studio to our CRW team,” says Jose L. Rivas, president of CRW architecture + design group. “Teresa and her team bring a unique skill set to our firm. By working collaboratively, we can offer a greater range of high quality design services to the region.”

McCormack has been the owner of The Urban Studio since 2003 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the design and construction field.  During her career, she has worked with both public and private clients, including: School districts, churches, residential, and a variety of commercial project types, including large corporate space planning and design.

McCormack, Rivas, and other current members of CRW, including retired Principal Christopher W. Colby, worked together nearly 20 years ago at a former Rochester based A/E design firm. The decision to merge The Urban Studio into CRW came about recently as McCormack sought to expand the capabilities of The Urban Studio and CRW looked to increase their staff of highly qualified design professionals.

“I’m proud of all that we have accomplished at The Urban Studio over the years, but the time was right to make a change,” says McCormack. “The staff and I are excited about the potential that exists by merging with CRW – not only for the business but also for the value we can add to our mutual clients through our shared talents.”
